Valencia CF keep growing match by match from a defensive position that it is taking the team to be between the best defense of Europe, due to the excellent team work displayed from the ofensive line until the goalkeeper.

21 goals conceded in the first 26 match in LaLiga are numbers that Valencia CF had not been able to achive since the season when they won the double (2003.04) and conceded a goal less until that point of the competition. Marcelino´s team is the seventh team among the five top european leagues ( LaLiga, Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1) with the best defensive average, conceding a goal each 0,8 match.

Liverpool FC are the most solid team, they have only received 15 goals in 29 matches (conceding a goal each 0,51 match), followed by PSG, Juventus, Atlético, Manchester City and Nápoles. Valencia CF’s solidity has allowed the team trained by Marcelino to keep a clean sheet for a total of ten matches in LaLiga.
